Volunteer
Have fun, gain experience, and get creative with us!
We have many volunteer roles, and we invite you to support your local digital media and creative arts community.
To inquire about volunteer opportunities, please get in touch with us at team@windsorfilmmaking.com or info@filmcampforkids.com.
Volunteering is an excellent way to meet people and contribute to the Southwestern Ontario film and arts communities. Our volunteers have fun, create lasting partnerships and friendships, and they have behind-the-scenes access to our community events.

Spring Break, Summer Camp, and Year-Round Classes
Film Camp for Kids & Youth runs throughout the year, with week-long programming during the Winter, March, and Summer breaks. There are various camps, including film, visual arts, animation, photography, creative writing, LEGO stop motion, and more. Volunteers support Instructors with the children’s creative crafts and projects, lunchtime supervision, and act as role models for camp-goers. Camp is an excellent opportunity for growing leadership skills!

Event Volunteers
You can volunteer to participate in a variety of community events throughout Windsor-Essex County, such as the Kingsville Highland Games, Emancipation Day, the Downtown Farmer’s Market, Garden Party Events, Oscar Dinners, Film Screenings, and more! Craft Volunteers also assist children with artwork at a craft table during off-site and in-house events. If you are outgoing and enjoy a fast-paced and fun environment, this is the role for you! Volunteers are notified of the events as they approach.

Brochure Distribution
Volunteers can help to promote and educate citizens about the many opportunities available to all ages by placing brochures, rack cards, and bookmarks in public libraries, recreation centres, senior centres, and various public spaces. Hours are as flexible as you can be available.
Mentor or Intern with Us
Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media, and the Creative Arts has received a government grant to offer paid short-term internships at local organizations, film production companies and TV stations, as well as free mentoring with local industry professionals.
This program is open to anyone, emphasizing underrepresented people in the industry, including women, youth, LGBTQ2+, people of colour, people with disabilities, and Indigenous peoples.
To inquire, email team@windsorfilmmaking.com.
Charitable Donations
We are continually evolving to grow our vibrant community and our emerging creative interests. Your sponsorships (businesses) or donations (individuals and foundations) help bring meaningful media arts and creative programming to Southwestern Ontario, inspire artistic excellence and diversity, and enrich the cultural life of the region.

Sponsorships
All of our programs rely on contributions from local businesses, community organizations, and corporate sponsors. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to connect with Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media and the Creative Arts, Film Camp for Kids & Youth, Plugged In Seniors & Youth, Master Shot Summit, and other great programs. As a sponsor, you can engage with the wider artistic community in Ontario and promote your business.
Sponsorship packages are customized and may include:
- Logo on our website
- A feature in our digital marketing materials (such as our newsletter or social media)
- Recognition in the Media Arts Building or online
- Other as requested
These benefits are designed to promote you or your business as a local arts supporter of the MACC.
